“Assistance for You” is an organization dedicated to helping Seniors and their families find solutions to aging safely and comfortably. We familiarize our clients regarding different options in the Coachella Valley and assist in choosing which ones might best suit them. We educate seniors and their families respecting various alternatives of care and assist the family weighing the advantage of remaining at home versus Assisted Living Community keeping the safety and
comfort of their loved one uppermost in mind.
“Assistance for You” has been designed to meet all a senior’s care needs and we have the means to help meet those needs. In addition to the services we provide personally, we help with referrals to the many other resources available in Coachella Valley.
Community and facility tours and home care set up can be arranged and coordinated by “Assistance for You”. Our services include scheduling, advocating, transportation to Doctors appointments and medication systematization. We’re well versed in Long Term Care Insurance and can help determine exactly what benefits are available and to what extent Medicare can offset health costs. Take advantage of a complementary assessments and achieve a complete understanding of the differences between Home Care and Home Healthcare, what “level of care” means and how it’s determined, and begin the process of determining the best course of action for yourself and your family!

Kathleen Ackermann, a Care Coordinator, is a retired nurse and lives in the Senior Community of Sun City Palm Desert She shares her knowledge and 30 years of experience assisting our aging population with living options, whether it be at home or in a senior community. Her complimentary assessment will simplify the process of finding the right kind of help for you or your loved one.
Come to your home assist, discuss, and identify exactly what the needs are.

Educate and provide understanding of Insurance and all resources available to Seniors
Assess home for safety
Evaluate medical equipment needs
Care and Coordination
Make doctor appointments, advocate for clients and transport to appointments.
Identify when to go to doctor appointments and advise on specialty doctors, such as, pain doctors or orthopedic MDs
Assist with medication needs; order medication, pharmacy follow-up, help with pill boxes and pick up medications
Support nutritional needs including grocery shopping
Assist in finding a Senior community that is tailored to meet individual needs and budget.
Take clients on tours of Assisted living Communities and Memory Care communities.
